Our Season

Production Drama puts on three shows throughout the year – a play, a musical, and the annual Original Show. For the fall play we tackle anything from classical to contemporary dramas and comedies, and even original work written by alumni.  This show is entered in the annual CETA Competition; students attend the festival in January where they participate in workshops and see the 4 area winners perform their show in its entirety.  The musical is an exciting and fun opportunity for students to hone their singing and dancing skills while having the time of their lives.  It is entered in the MACY Competition (Music and Arts Commendations for Youth) with an award ceremony in June at the Segerstrom Center for the Arts.  The Original Show is a sketch comedy show written by the actors themselves, spoofing campus life, current events, pop culture or just life in general.  It is directed by various alumni of the program and for many, is the most highly anticipated show of the year.
